    Tissue Processing Unit (NU-279)

The compact latest model incorporates an automatic safety device & locking system. The safety device prevents the transfer of tissue from the 10th stage to the 11th stage or from the 11th to 12th stage, in case the wax has not been melted properly due to power failure on malfunctioning, thus protecting the unit & the tissues. The auto-locking system checks the transfer of tissues from the 12th to the 1st stage to safeguard against the accidental processing of the same & locks the machine. This lock can be undone by pressing a push switch to prepare the unit for fresh use.
Supplied complete with One S.S Basket, 24 Nos. S.S Tissue Capsules, 10 Nos. Glass Beakers of 1 lt. capacity each, 11Nos. Beaker Covers, 2 Nos. S.S. Wax Baths, 5 Nos. 24 hrs. calibrated Timing Discs and One notch plier to program metallic timing discs.
Suitable to work on 220 V, single-phase, 50 Hz, AC supply Capacity: 1 Liter.

The Tissue Processing Unit (NU-279) is a cornerstone of modern histopathology and anatomical pathology laboratories. Engineered for the systematic dehydration, clearing, and infiltration of biological tissues, this Tissue Processing Unit (NU-279) ensures that every specimen is prepared with the highest level of structural integrity for microscopic examination. By automating the critical stages of sample preparation, the Tissue Processing Unit (NU-279) minimizes human error and significantly boosts laboratory throughput.

Built with high-grade, corrosion-resistant materials, the Tissue Processing Unit (NU-279) is designed to withstand continuous exposure to laboratory reagents like xylene, alcohol, and paraffin wax. Its precision-timed mechanism allows for seamless transition between reagent stations, making it a reliable alternative to the Automatic Tissue Processing Unit (NU-279A). Whether used in clinical diagnostics or pharmaceutical research, this unit guarantees consistent results for every biopsy and tissue section.

    SPECIFICATIONS & CAPABILITIES

The Tissue Processing Unit (NU-279) is designed with the following technical parameters to ensure precision:

    • Station Capacity: 12 station design (10 reagent jars and 2 wax baths).
    • Tissue Basket: Stainless steel baskets with multiple compartments for batch processing.
    • Timer Mechanism: 24-hour calibrated timing discs for customized protocol scheduling.
    • Thermostatic Control: Integrated heating elements for wax baths with safety cut-offs.
    • Power Supply: Optimized for standard 220V/50Hz laboratory outlets.

    PRIMARY USES IN LABORATORY

The Tissue Processing Unit (NU-279) is primarily utilized for preparing animal and human tissue for paraffin embedding. It is essential in cancer research, forensic pathology, and veterinary diagnostics.
